9/11 Memorial Ceremonies, to remember the tragedies of September 11th, 2001, will most likely be held again, as they have been each year since.  As we are made aware, we will post the times and locations in the general Sag Harbor/East Hampton/Bridgehampton areas.  If you know of a ceremony or remembrance taking place in the greater Sag Harbor area, please let us know by e-mailing sagchamber@peconic.net

HarborFest 2008
Friday September 12th - Sunday September 14th

Ths annual celebration of Sag Harbor's maritime and whaling history will this year be the culmination of the countless events and activities during the Village's 300th anniversary!  There will be Whaleboat Races, Historic Tours and Displays, Music, a Parade, A Taste of Sag Harbor and more!  While our 2008 schedule is yet to be finalized, look at what we did during HarboeFest last year as a sample! 17th Annual Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce Golf Open, at the Noyac Golf & Country Club, on Wildwood Road in Noyac/Sag Harbor.  An entry fee of $175 per golfer includes the following:
  • Check-In at 10:45am, Lunch at 11am, and Shotgun Start at 12 noon.  Rain or shine!
  • Light Lunch, followed by Tournament at the Club
  • Cocktail Hour With Hors D'oeuvres after the Tournament
  • Halfway House Drinks
  • The Jet Blue Challenge Returns! with a chance to win Golf Vacations on each 3-par hole (with a Hole-in-One), and a chance for a $10,000 Hole-In-One Prize in a separate playoff

Gold Star Mothers' Day - a day dedicated to honor America's Gold Star Mothers: any American woman who has lost a son or daughter in the line of duty in the Armed Forces.

Sag Harbor Chamber's Tourist Information Center is now open at the Windmill on Long Wharf.  Hours are 10-4, weather permitting.  Pick up useful literature about Sag Harbor and the Chamber, chat with our delightful staff, and perhaps buy a T-Shirt, Mug, or Key Chain to remind you about the wonderful time you had in Sag Harbor!  Open Daily until Labor Day, Weekends through Columbus Day.
