Sagg Main is a lifeguard-protected Southampton Town beach at the south end of Sagg Main Street in Sagaponack. Daily passes are availible at Sagg Main on weekdays only. Resident, senior citizen and nonresident seasonal permits are accepted. Pets are prohibited between April 1 and October 1. Pets are allowed at other times, but they must be under immediate control of owner at all times and all animal waste must be disposed of in proper containers. Violators will be subject to a fine up to $250.
Unless otherwise posted, lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 5pm. Beaches close at 9 pm. Residents can obtain a beach barbecue permit for after 6pm from the Parks & Recreation Office.
Camping, alcohol, bonfires, glass containers, household garbage, erecting tents, construction debris, handbills and solicitations, unsupervised children, amplified music, unauthorized concession trucks or caterers, graffiti and littering are prohibited at all times.
There is drive-on access, but a Southampton Town Trustees 4-by-4 beach driving permit is required. The speed limit is 10 miles per hour and ATVs are prohibited. All vehicles are prohibited from 9am to 6pm between the Friday preceding Memorial Day through September 15.
